Valentine's songs for every mood
Hi lovers and haters,
Consumerists' Cupid's day is in a few days, and whether you're in an aged and boring relationship, you've never been more heartbroken in your life, or you're so single you only have one pillow, I have something for you. And because there are many moods during this holiday, I have an *extra* song this week. Yep, just for you:
Feel This Way by Tangerine
Slide this song into your crush's DM if they like west coast indie pop. Heck, why not burn them a CD of all the songs that remind you of them. If it doesn't make them run away, they're probably a keeper.
A Million Ways
But then, not all love songs feature acoustic guitars or John Legend's voice. This is Exhibit A. I wish someone would write a song like this for me (hint hint nudge nudge).
Pushing Daisies by The Castle Walls
Describes a particular stage of heartbreak that's somewhere after parting and before full acceptance; I'm 50% certain of this interpretation. Personal experience says this is good for for tearful solo driving.
You're Breakin' My Heart by Harry Nilsson
Okay, this isn't really indie, but it's perfect for when you're angry-sad but still wanna be fun. And if this doesn't do it, I have a 15-hour Spotify playlist of heartbreak songs for you.
Happy listening,
Angela
