Road trip tunes for slow traffic and safe drivers
Beep beep,
Who do you think you are? Dominic Toretto? There’s nothing wrong with going the speed limit.
Fear of Flying by Nightlands
Once on a drizzly winter weekend, I listened to this song while driving through the fog and hills of highway 1. The destination was an elusive “all-you-can-eat” crab festival in Mendocino county. How was it? Well, I had salmon for dinner. That’s all I’ll say. But at least the drive up looked exactly like the album cover of this song.
El camino negro
This song says to me "Put on your dark sunglasses and leather sandals. We are spies going rogue and we're going south of the border." As the name of this songs suggests, it's is made to complement long stretches of black asphalt highways through desert terrain.
Never Wanna Leave by Hate Drugs
If the beach is on your road trip itinerary, this is for you. And if you’re still celebrating Valentine’s Day and you’re lying on the beach in with your boo, then we hate you and please stop making the rest of us jealous. But this song is also for you.
Happy listening,
Angela
